This
self-contained aquarium chiller has been used for salmon and trout in school classrooms since
1988 and has proven to be very reliable.
This
aquarium chilller consists of a commercial condensing unit and a custom designed
stainless steel evaporator, (cooling coil). The two components are
connected together with insulated soft copper tubing. The electronic
temperature control is programmable for Temperature set point, Fahrenheit
or Celsius, Temperature difference, and Heating or Cooling. During
operation the control displays a digital readout of the water temperature.
The
condensing unit is placed either beside the tank or beneath the
tank on a shelf.
The
evaporator is designed to hang over the rear of the tank and into
the water. The unit is fully charged with refrigerant and is ready
to be plugged into a ground fault receptacle.
The
refrigerant used is R134a and is environment friendly.
CAUTION: |
If this aquarium chiller is installed
in a cabinet, inlet and outlet vents at least the size
of the condenser coil must be provided in the cabinet.
*Failure to provide this ventilation will reduce the
